TreXx is a one-of-a-kind app that solves a unique problem — How can women safety enjoy the outdoors when their #1 fear is encountering a stranger with ill-intentions?

The challenge for TreXx was to position their app's primary mission of overcoming fear while also centering the joy and exploration of a carefree outdoor experience. I set out to create a brand messaging strategy based around adventure, community, and possibility.

TreXx is the perfect example of a company that has a mission, but lacks a story. By highlighting the promise of the brand’s safety-forward ethics using positivity and possibility, TreXx now feels not only approachable, but shareable. Using a cheeky style and messaging that spotlights the power of the app’s devoted audience, TreXx has the potential for rapid growth born from strength and bravery – not timidity. Traits important to a brand based in the power of its community.​​

TreXx’s social media presence exudes playfulness, strength, and the wildness of its users, themselves. This distinct voice helps create brand recognition and, most importantly for an app centered around safety, fosters a sense of trust for its users. Tapping into the growing fanbase using newsletters and contests that encourage sharing with friends, TreXx’s story keeps building offline even as its community thrives online.​​

TreXx’s niche but plentiful user base makes it a prime target for successful collabs with others values-minded brands. Anything from energy bars, clothing or trail gear to SPF skincare, headphones, and shoes and would be ripe for heightening excitement for both brands' offerings.
